The Park City Ski Trip scheduled for March 1 to March 8 is a free-format trip. It started when Duff found out that there were some great deals on flights at that time of the year. The original flights were scheduled through Delta and their deal is no longer available. We have at least 28 folks including kids attending this year's trip.
The MJBs have had many western ski trips in the past and we even went to Austria once. This one promises to be different because we are mixing families and singles/couples. We have folks staying at five different locations, mostly in the Park City area, but we also have a couple staying near Salt Lake and the canyon. For the most part, the singles/couples will stay separate from the family folk. However, we hope to get together a lot and our canyon folks have offered the chance to switch for a night.
For reasons of security we can't mention who is going and where they are staying, but Duff will have the list of locations and phone numbers if applicable. We expect that most of the family types will tend to gather at the big five-bedroom facility with a pool table and a ping-pong table in Park City. We expect that most of the non-family types will transcend towards our largest "non-family" facility also located in the Park City area. The Salt Lake switch option offers additional flexibility to allow members of the group planning to ski the Canyon a way to avoid the 45 min drive in the morning.
Kid's skiing and car rental arrangements are being worked out individually. The Duffy's plan to utilize the Park City arrangement which provides for 2 one and a half hour lessons, lunch, and 2 snacks at a cost of $71.50 per day, $199.50 for 3 days, and $310 for 5 days. Originally they opted for a 5 day arrangement, but will probably cut back to 3 days. The number to call is 1-800-227-2754 if you desire similar arrangements.
