Follow 270 North to 70 West and follow directions from Baltimore.
From Baltimore
Take Rt. 70 West and follow to Rt 68 West (Exit 1-A, just past Hancock).
Follow Rt 68 West until you get to exit 14:
Route 40 West
Uniontown, PA
Take the exit ramp - bear right and follow to the "T" and turn left onto
Route 40 West.
Beware: Route 40 crosses Rt 68 several times prior to exit 14. Make sure you take exit 14 towards Uniontown. If you miss the exit, take the Friendsville exit and take 42 North to Route 281 (head right onto 281) and then left onto Route 40 West. This is slow, so try not to miss the exit.
Follow Route 40 West past Glisan's restaurant (on your right). After Glisan's you will go down and up a big hill. At the top of the hill is a rinky-dink bar called the Dinner Bell (if it is still there). Experienced rafters should turn right and follow that to 381. For less experienced folks, continue on Route 40 West until you get to 381. Make a right onto 381. In either case, you will eventually end up on 381 which comes to a quasi-"T" just before Ohiopyle. Make a left to go to the campsite and a right to go to the Dairy Queen. Park in the parking area to the left after the Dairy Queen or on the right after the Dairy Queen.
To proceed to the camping area: After making a left at the quasi-"T" (I believe that the name of the road is Ohiopyle Road), and continue until you see the sign of the Ohiopyle State Park. Turn right and follow the road until you get to the camping area which is another right turn. From there, check in and proceed to our area (Ginkgo). There is no time-limit as to when you must arrive.
