What?
A group of us folks will spend the weekend of July 11-13 biking, camping, hiking, swimming, and boating in and around Ohiopyle State Park in Pennsylvannia. Boaters will be taking inflatible kayaks (Duckies) down the Lower Youghioghenny River. We have reservations for 16 boaters for an 11:45 am put-in on the morning of the 12th. Hard boaters who will offer us support have an 11:00 am put-in which means they must put-in from 11:00 am to 11:59 am. Non-boaters will have plenty of activities to entertain themselves with. There are numerous bike trails around the State Park. Tourists can visit nearby Falling Waters for a view of one of Frank Lloyd Wright's more unique houses. Swimmers can slide the natural rock slide near Cucumber Falls and hikers will be treated with numerous trails to explore.

Liability
Kayaking/Rafting by it's nature is a dangerous and physically demanding sport. All boaters on this trip do so at their own risk. As a condition for acceptance of your application for this trip, we are requiring that each boater read and sign a waiver form prior to participating.
All trip personnel, although very experienced boaters, are volunteers of Catonsville Rec & Parks and are not paid. Boaters must follow the directions of the volunteer trip leaders, Tom and Charles Duffy, to ensure maximum safety.
